Kentucky’s Heritage Landmarks Quilt Trail provides an opportunity to enjoy the scenic, rural landscape of the area while exploring its history and heritage. You will travel through breathtaking terrain spotted by rolling farmlands and quaint National Register towns. Stop and marvel at the beautiful, vivid quilt squares, each with a different story—some on barns, some on downtown buildings or some free-standing.
While traveling the trail, explore the numerous attractions of the area. Experience Pioneer, Revolutionary War and Civil War history. Marvel at the steep limestone cliffs and rugged canyons created millions of years ago by the flow of the Kentucky River Find that special, unique handcrafted gift to take back home. Visit the nation’s first commercial vineyard where you can see the original vines from 1794. Sample some of Kentucky’s finest gourmet and “down-home” cooking and get comfy in one of our beautiful bed and breakfasts.
The trail goes through five counties—Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Jessamine and Lincoln—in the south-central region of Kentucky. These counties, with support from Tour Southeastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY), a regional tourism initiative, welcome you and wish you happy trails through this scenic historic area.
